What are Circus Arts?
    Circus Arts include juggling, manipulative skills, balancing, and various types of apparatus such as unicycles, stilts, rolling globes, etc. This site focuses on skills which are commonly taught in schools. For information on flying trapeze and other more elaborate skills, please see our Links page.

    Lesson plans, photos of teachers and students practicing circus skills, links to circus education on the net, and information on workshops and teacher training.

About Me, Jason Catanzariti:

    I have been involved in the performing and teaching of circus arts since 1988. From 1990-94 I worked with the National Circus Project, performing and giving workshops all over the world. In 1989 I won the National Freestyle Unicycle Championships. I received my B.S. in Physical Education from SUNY Cortland, and my M.S. from the University of Wisconsin. I have taught Physical Education for ten years.
